i've had several lovely holidays with what was secure homes over a couple of years it was perfect 4 me as a working 1 parent, it meant my chldren and i could have a holiday without me having to struggle to save, it was simple went the travel agents, found a holiday, called secure homes to authorize it, packed and went, paid every week when i came home no problems when that was paid booked and went again. we loved it we'd gone without a holiday for 10 yrs prior 2 this.
now the bad news this yr went to the travel agents all excited got the holiday arranged this time with my partner and kids, proper family holiday, only to be told when they phoned through to authorize it that the new MONEYWAY had had a 'reshuffle' and now your holidayprice was in the form of a loan which was paid into my bank, thinking well i've had 4 holidays no problem so ok went home to phone them to sort it out so i could pay for my holiday. still all excited although a bit irritated with all the back and forth. then to get home home to be told i won't be accepted for a loan even though i pay £270 a week for my account and never missed a payment, i was fuming and still am, it meant we can't have a holiday and now were not looking likely to get 1 at all this year! thanks for there customer loyalty
2 things concern me, just how many people this will now affect, that are unaware of the new rule as it was probably one of the bonuses i had of being with like a lot of other customers and in the current economic state of affairs how does this affect coop travel i'm aware they have a lot of custom with the old system, that may now be lost with the new system as if the money is paid to the customer, they are free to use any travel agents. i don't think this has been there best plan or that it has been completely thought through, i do wish they would go back to the old system it helped people a lot more!
