Good Points

simple to use
provides effective coverage with minimum effort
excellent finish
fast, giving effective coverage in a short time
minimum overspray
economic use of the paint
the gun is easy to clean after use
does what is says - paints around corners


Bad Points

the paint is expensive - close to double the cost of the same paint bought in the tin but in my view that particular downside is offset by the ease and speed of use
Three of the four tins I purchased were incorrectly labelled - giving hammered finish where the can stated that it was smooth. I am, however, very satisfied with the overall result


General Comments

Having read the negative reviews of the Hammerite Metalmaster Electrostatic on this website I procrastinated about purchasing the spray gun for several months. In the end I decided the alternative of hand painting was a less desirable option.
I followed the instructions to the letter. The spray gun worked a treat. It did everything that it said it would in the sales blurb. I painted two coats to approximately 20m of railings in two hours. I gave a third coat the second day, picking up the areas that I had missed the first time around.
