The Waterside MC250 is small and compact. Easily loaded. Leaked from day one. Called out service engineer on warranty. Leak free for 6 months then started leaking again. I knew what the problem was an O ring seal on the blend valve. Cullingham would not supply on its own so had to purchase whole unit at £25. Worked leak free for 2 months then total carnage, flooded utility and was on the way to flood ground floor when it was discovered. The new blend assembly nut had sheared completly allowing full bore mains to flood the house. These units are totally unreliable given the cost the engineering standard is very poor, Before you think of buying one of the units shop around there are better quality softners out there.
