My Toshiba Satellite A30-203 lasted many years, still use it today just for music and internet. been through hell and back, dropped it a couple times and keeps on ticking. Just clean the thing, makes sure dust and such doesn't bog it down and make it heat up, and it'll work fine, was a pretty good laptop for it's time. Replaced the hard drive 2 times, the first time it was my fault [overheated because I put it on a blanket...i know] , second time I'm not sure what happened.

touch pad died about a year ago.
