good diningroom/lounges/decks staff and service; entertainment; food; cleanliness on board; very friendly phillipino crew; all daily programmes of activities on board; cabaret crew; on board shop; these were thr bad points in our opinion, too long delays at airports; bathroom in cabin not up to scratch; never met captain, officers and his engineers; decision for cancellation of shore-landings due to too many incapacitated passengers not acceptable, esp. at Tristan Da Cunha; internet very slow and expensive for too little time; bars, far too high prices; medical fees rather high; cruise was not value for the money we paid.
We do not agree in the manner that we were reimbursed for non-shore landing. overall, the cruise in itself was relaxing in spite of the bad points. I would not cruise with the same captain, however, and would go on another of your ships.

I would like to correct the number of nights spent on board, to be 18. There must have been a typing error.

Discovery is operated by 'All Leisure' as is Minerva (Swan Hellenic) getting ashore is also a problem on Minerva, failed to land in ideal coditions at Tristan Da Cunha, excuse too rough.

Personally we enjoyed this cruise, we realise that some shore excursions did not take place. These were because of weather conditions. We have relived every moment of this cruise since our return and always feel well looked after. We are looking forward to our next cruise. rpjbexhill

    Rubbish

The stops did not take place because of bad weather but because of incompetent passage planning, nothing to do with the weather, whatsoever, at Tristan Da Cunha ' weather conditions ideal', quote by administrator of Tristan. (see Tristan website and reviews, comments and photographs on www.cruise.co.uk)

All Leisure new about the problems in November (same problems occurred on passage down south, passengers were compensated and provided with free bar, the cruise following ours suffered the same problems) and chose not to inform us and continued to enlist further passengers on the original itinerary knowing that it could not be performed, all information is now in the hands of 'Trading Standards'.

SH or should we say 'All Leisure'are also in breach of contract.

A ship with at least 4 knts. of speed was required to fulfill the itinerary.

Thankyou Bob for confirming our suspicions about the landing at Tristan. We have not heard from the company as yet regarding our complaints.
