Good Points

Incredibly flexible and infinitely accessible

Bad Points

No catch up TV yet but Sky might include "Sky Player" in later versions of their satelite box services.

General Comments

I used to be with Virgin until the service and care and reliability all deteriorated and costs went up and up so I decided to switch everything to Sky. I am a Grumpy old man and I don't trust any big company, but I am really well pleased with everything that Sky has done for me and I have found their service to be absolutely outstanding. I realise that I am lucky in only living 650 paces from my local telephone exchange but I am very pleased with my regularly acheived 7Mb download broadband although I would like a faster upload that I am acheiving, it is nontheless perfectly adequate and brilliant for just £5.00 a month. I now have access to so much more TV and I am saving at least £15.00 a month over what I was paying. The Sky remote record using your mobile phone is brilliant. The Sky player allows you access to most of the channels available in your package but viewable online and the access to online films is terrific with great streaming and few artifacts viewable in fullscreen mode.
I also like the "My Sky" benefits giving full online access to your account, services, bills, everything readily available and infinitely changeable at a click of the mouse. Sky is clearly going all out to show their credentials, I have had no problems phoning customer care and all their responses have all been polite and efficient. I simply cannot fault anything so far (6 weeks active).
I wonder if I should have gone the whole hog and got the Sky+HD but we are very happy with what we have at the moment.
