Cracking drive, handling is just superb, looks great and sporty without being a chav car like the honda civic type r.
Great drivers car its just tons of fun.
Bad Points
I have one in black and its a real pain to keep clean and shiny.
Has a slight stutter at 2000rpm never found out why but its hardly an issue, most days I don't even notice.
Side light are way to dim (all mk1.5 focuses) hard to believe they are legal, if you can find brighter ones I suggest you fit them.
General Comments
The Ford Focus 2.0 drives like something that should cost way way more. Plenty of power on tap, the car loves to be revved but will also drive with perfect manners around any town centre.
Some say they are very thirsty but mine returns 360 miles on a tank full of super unleaded and I don't exactly drive like a vicar. Make sure you use super unleaded the car runs much better and returns more mpg.
This car IS a true performance hatch back and therefore DOES qualify for hot hatch status but I don't like that term it sounds to boyracer-ish.
Had the car for just over a year now and have enjoyed everyday of driving it even when going to work haha.
Simply put its a great affordable, reliable easy to live with no nonsense performance car, a real drivers delight and not even slightly chavy. I like the car so much I am keeping it eventually it will just be a weekend fun car.
