Good Points

Lovely recipes, very simple and quick. Easy to use. Brilliant weight loss!


Bad Points

Really can't think of many. I guess the dinner portion sometimes feels a little small, however you can always leave something from one of your other meals and eat it later in the day if you like.


General Comments

In order to express a fair point of view, I think it is only right to have actually tried the actual diet so I hope that certain reviews have not put people off as I can honestly say that if the plan is followed properly, you should notice a good weight loss. I have been on the Tesco GI diet now for just 7 weeks and have found it so easy to use and extremely effective. My starting weight was 10 stone, and I have lost 9lbs, which I am pleased with because with most other diets it would take me a good few months to lose this kind of weight (I have tried Atkins, Weight Watchers, South Beach) I will also be honest and say that I allow myself 1-2 'bad meals' each week, whether this is a meal out or takeaway and have still found the weight is coming off.The recipes in general are delicious and it is so easy to swap anything you do not like for something else. Plus you can add on practically any food to any meal and they will show you the calorie/fat/carb content of the majority of branded and unbranded products so you can adjust the quantities to ensure you dont go over your daily calories. One of my favourite things about this diet is the fact that (depending on which diet plan you are following) you can eat sandwiches and pasta and even chocolate, just in controlled measures, you dont have to cook up some fantastically fancy dish for lunch or breakfast, you can just pick meals that suit your lifestyle. The Tesco GI diet allows you the same amout of calories for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus a snack, which means you feel like you are having quite a nice big breakfast but I guess can make you feel like the dinner is small but you get used to this and I think it is good to see what portion sizes you should be eating as my main problem has always been knowing how much I should be putting on my plate.
I was originally doing this diet to lose a little weight for a holiday in May but I will definitely be extending my subscription as I absolutely love the fact it plans your meals for the week for you and you dont have to think too much! Once you have reached your target weight you can always adjust the diet plan to ensure you maintain rather than lose. I cant recommend enough!
