Golden oldie, & spares are still available & very reliable. No planned obsolescence when this bit of kit was made, customer satisfaction for a lifetime was what sold a brand name back then.
The only bad point is they don't make them anything like that any more.
My maternal granddad got hold of his Remington M11 at some point between WW1 & WW2 & it was second hand in a pawn shop back then. When he saw it in the shop he thought it was a Brownin A5 but bought it anyway. I used it a lot in the 60's for pigeon & clays & it never missed a beat, a good solid long recoil operated bit of kit that had thousands & thousands & thousands of cartridges put through it and kept on going like the day the old boy first got his hands on it.
