Good Points
Clean - gourmet food - wonderful staff - located very near the world famous native market - heat in rooms - knowledgeable and helpful owners who have been there 30 yrs. - lovely gardens and birds - good rates

Absolutely none

General Comments
I stay at Hotel Ali Shungu whenever I'm in Ecuador. I have never had one bad experience. If you can't tolerate music or occassionally a barking dog at night - then this isn't for you. If you want NYC accommodations - then it would be best to stay in the states. This is a third world country and their customs are different than ours.
