General Comments

I've owned this widescreen 32pw9616 TV from Philips for 3 weeks. The picture geometry of this TV isn't particularly good - the top right of the screen bends in fairly significantly and straight lines running across the screen horizontally are bowed. An engineer has said it's within tolerance and has made some adjustments, but it's still not great. Turning down the contrast helps a little.
I've since been told that it's a little bit of pot luck whether you end up with a 'good' or 'bad' set in terms of picture geometry.
4 SCART inputs is excellent. However, I'm used to Sony TVs where you can assign external source inputs to channel numbers. You can't do this on this set, which is an a pain as it mean you have to flick through all the external sources to get to the one you want.
The sound quality is excellent, especially when given a digital input.
Obviously, the fact that the set stopped working completely after 2 weeks has coloured my judgement a little!
