General Comments

I've been to Chillfactore twice now. The first was Jan 2008 after it opened, for a taster lesson. Many people have commented on badly organised check in facilities and over crowding. That was certainly evident on my first visit. We had a 30 minute queue to get our gear and started our lesson 10mins late.
My second visit in March 2009 was very much a different affair. We went at 11am on a Sunday. They have new check in desks and seem to have ironed out earlier teething problems. From arriving to being ready to hit the slope took only 15minutes.
Contrary to other comments, when we went the slope was not busy. In a 90minute session I got in atleast 20 or so runs. At most I think I waited 3 minutes for a lift back to the top. Staff were friendly. I fell over twice - once whilst attempting a jump at speed and the second whilst trying to ski backwards (what did I expect!). A ski instructor approached me asked if I was OK and then skied off. Unlike previous posters I wasn't asked to leave, although someone else was, but they clearly were not in control and were using the "expert" side of the slope.
Don't be put off by the negative comments give it a go.
As for the price, I think £24 is a bargain - the experience is so much better that it's pointless comparing to dry ski slopes
