Good Points

Get the Swift Royale 610 Ensign SE with Rear Lounge if a 4 berth will do. This motorhome has a proper Lounge with two plush full length sofas if you like your comforts, a more than useful centre console which flips into a small table, and those sofas are so goody when watching TV or just relaxing. The sofas make either two singles or a massive king sized double bed. Loads of cupboard space around the motorhome and the spare overhead cab double bed is also a terrific storage area. It has a well equipped Kitchen and Bathroom with a shower that really works, lots of nice little extras around the place, typically high quality Swift real wood fixtures and fittings,mood lighting, extra speakers,perfect TV top with Drinks Bar above. Like an apartment on wheels, and they don't make them like this anymore! (go see the new ones and you will see what I mean). Oh, and a fabulous 2.8JTD engine with loads of torque! (and averages almost 30mpg)


Bad Points

Hard to think of any. Maybe you have to say 'scuse me' to use the bathroom if someones at the kitchen sink. But that's all.


General Comments

Stopped making the Royale Ensign model range in 2000, but the Royale is a better made motorhome than the newer models of today. They are made of superior materials and built to last, whereas today's have just lightness in mind. The rear lounge models are especially attractive to those who are new to motorhomes or who had a caravan, or just for those who want a traditional motorhome layout with comfort in mind. They are also a perfect size (20-21 feet in length) for the traffic conditions of today, being manoeuvrable and reasonable to park most of the time. An important consideration.
