I am so angry with my experiences with pets at home!! When i bought my rabbit 2 years ago i was told "he" was a female and he was also a dwarf rabbit which both were not true. Then last Monday whilst in the store me and my boyfriend fell in love with one of the rabbits they had in their adoption unit. When we asked about him we were told he had to stay in the store until Thursday and that it was "first come first serve" so i went to see him Tuesday, rang on Wednesday and then we arrived at the store at the crack of dawn before it opened on the Thursday to be told he was going to the vets to be neutered and to come back the following Monday which we did to be told he was going for a check up at the vet and would be back at 3. i rang them at three they said he wasn't back then spoke to some one else who said he was and then was passed on to the manager who said he wasn't. after chasing them up all afternoon the manager called my mobile and told me we couldn't have him as my boyfriends mum has 3 chinchillas and we wouldn't be able to give him the care and attention he needs. I felt this was unfair as i know we would be able to give him a loving home and would be able to provide the care he needed. just because his mum has chinchillas does not mean me and my boyfriend could not care for him. someone with no pets could take him, put him in a hutch and get bored with him. it depends on the individuals. They don't check the homes they go to so anyone could lie and just take him away. And when i bought my other rabbit they put him in a box, took my money with no questions asked!! i am so angry and upset as i really fell in love with him and i think their policy is rubbish! the staff were so unhelpful and it seems they don't communicate with each other!!
