Bad Points


My Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi 68 Zetec had good reliabity until recently, cheap to tax + insure plenty of interior space. Woeful fuel economy from such a small car, this is my eighth ford diesel and the only one that gets no where near its economy figures, i used to get 50 mpg out my mondeo 1.8. on the same journeys i get 55mpg out of the fiesta, i have had three other 1.4 tdcis as courtesy cars over the past 6 years none of the have bettered 55 mpg. build quality is good and parts are usually cheap. handles well but road noise can be a bit loud with zetec alloys, if it wasn't for the recent breakdowns i would rate this car as eight. I have the same injector seal fault as others seem to have suffered 62k now its back in the garage wont start and pours diesel on the floor. I have had this car from new 2003 + never had more than 55 mpg no matter how careful I am
