Overall, the Harley Davidson Sportster 883 - XL 883 is a great bike to begin with. Will likely be moving up in the future to big V-twin. Good points are Pretty flat torque curve for the majority of the rpm range, decent acceleration when riding solo, comfortable seat, great handling. Bad points are two-up riding is uncomfortable on the stock seat for the passenger after about an hour. Acceleration suffers significantly with a passenger.
