Good Points

Very good sound quality - except for hum. Easy to set up. Not expensive.


Bad Points

Mains transformer hum. Small clock digits.


General Comments

Received my Logik R100 just over a week ago and was surprised how easy it detected my WiFi. It was soon up and running with thousands of channels to choose. BUT, I use it as a radio alarm and I noticed straight away some hum when on standby - also even more hum when in normal use. The first problem wouldn't be so bad maybe if it wasn't right next to me on my bedside cabinet. So - I took it apart and had a look inside. The transformer is mounted right behind the loudspeaker so is magnetically causing the hum into the speaker. Had a quick measure up and found it would JUST fit on the other side of the cabinet (with a bit of cutting and filing of the inside of the cabinet !). So I unscrewed the transformer and mounted it on rubber mounts (and silicon rubber compound) next to the internal loudspeaker 'horn' on the other side of the cabinet. The connection wires were long enough - all I had to do was to slacken off the mains lead clamp for a bit more slack - then tighten the clamp again.
Result - totally cured both hum problems - don't know why it wasn't designed like this in the first place.
