The Volkswagen Bora V5 is a great car to drive, smooth powerfull, good handling. Good medium sized car. big boot. Comfortable seats. Nice looks. One of the best cars I have driven. I have a 99 V5 2.3 bora. Average mpg is 25-30 quite bad considering I used to drive a 6 litre car which was the same on fuel. If they do get problems they can be expensive to fix. Great car but I find it's not the most reliable or economical. If you get one be sure to know a good mechanic as some vw dealers may not be best suited to fixing less common problems, certainly with the V5 engine. I took mine to a VW dealer and they couldnt tell me what was wrong with my V5 engine. If you want a car that is fun to drive small enough to glide through traffic yet big enough to be practical get one of these but bear in mind it may not be the most economical of cars.
