Bad Points

its a little on the heavy side meaning that you'll need sling and sling swivels fitted if carrying for extended periods of time in the field.can be tricky to strip and maintain

General Comments

the BSA goldstar is a very nice rifle indeed ,and british too. for maximum reliability keep the ten shot mag spotlessly clean and oil regularly but sparingly with fine machine oil.power is on the limit at11.8 ft lbs ..can be tuned for a smoother and sweeter action .these rifles are becoming harder to find in good condition.good examples comanding high prices.i paid £320 for mine in 2008 ... 10shot magazine, underlever design, accurate, excellent finish.reliable.smooth to shoot.the scope mounting dampens recoil to the scope.particularly like the underlever holding mechanism on this rifle compared with the HW97 which has a some what noisy and tricky mechanism to operate
