the air arms s410 is indeed a very popular rifle,well liked by hunters,target shooters alike,the later models with the built in safety catch on the trigger suffer from what i would call a wobbly trigger, this in no way detracts from the air arms excellent performance.the stock finish is excellent, the magazine cycles flawlessly,and with the air arms silencer it is a quiet gun,which incidently can be made even quieter if you purchase an adaptor and fit the weirauch silencer .the finish on the metal is of an acceptable standard but not the best finish ive seen(check out the finish of falcon air rifles)accuracy is very good with 20mm groups @40 yards in .177. power is consistent and within a +/- 8ft/sec.and muzzle energy is between 10.8 and 11.2 ft lbs depending on pellet used
Bad Points
its very easy to double load this rifle as no safety mechanisms have been incorporated into it to prevent this,unlike the weirauch HW100 which has a safety mechanism built in so that it will only load one pellet into the breech at a time per firing cycle.price is a little too high for most people getting into pcp shooting but none the less a good quality rifle backed up with an excellent after sales back up too.
General Comments
Air Arms S410 is a nice looking rifle with precise trigger even if it is a little floppy with the safety off.nice stock finish,and as most owners are aware that air arms rifles are produced on a rolling development basis meaning that as they design new improvements they incorporate them straight into their production of rifles.parts availability is excellent, i ordered a seal kit for one of mine and it was here for me within two days ..thas what i call good after sales back up
