Lifesource's backwash purging system is unbelievably loud - vibrating the house and waking neighbors. This fact is conveniently never mentioned in sales pitch. The backwash takes place every 12 days - don't think we can live with the noise.
General Comments
We've only had our LifeSource system for a couple of months and do like the taste of the water much more over our area's unfiltered tap water (really bad). Will probably dismantle the LifeSource system due to the noise "eruption" when the backwash purge takes place -- it sounds like a helicopter is hovering over the house for 30-40 min.
