Cheap. Friendly when you eventually get to speak to a human. Give you their name. Ring you back as they promise.


General Comments

First it took 27 minutes to speak to Admiral Car Insurance, who then couldn't help. Mostly I gave up ringing.
Said we had asked for personal accident we did not want, and a courtesy car which was apparently only for when your car is totalled, but said we did not ask for the main extra of breakdown cover, even though both I and my son were on the 'phone asking for it. They said the recording backed them up, but just read out bits selectively, and would not let us hear it, nor give us a copy unless we paid them and sent them no less than 3 independent forms of ID - hardly likely after this breach in trust. I cancelled immediately and paid no more thanks to an excellent broker in A-Plan, and a lot less for the breakdown cover (like 1/3rd!) and more flexible too. I had to cancel by e-mail, because I could not wait on the lines any more! What might have started as a beautiful relationship, and protected all 4 of our family's vehicles, turned into a real disappointment in the company and the friendly person who just hid behind procedure. I will never use them again.
