Bad Points

The Tosca wood clarinets are not as good as the greenling Toscas (which sound more noble than than the wood Tosca clarinets).


General Comments

Any professional considering new instruments would be entirely ignorant if they did not seriously consider the Tosca Buffet Greenline before buying. No other clarinets come close in regard to quality of sound, intonation, and tonal consistency. The Toscas are designed for the Greenline material; is therefore superior to the Toscas in wood. The initial idea with the Tosca clarinets was to create a greenline clarinet that had all the virtues of the 100% wood clarinets but with a better acoustic design both in regard to sound and intonation. Buffet has succeeded with this intention. The Buffet Tosca greenline clarinets (both A and in B flat) are the best clarinets ever made and has created a new standard in clarinet manufacturing.
