I did receive £50 compensation from them and a bunch of flowers, unfortunately the next week they accidentally closed another account, and then cancelled a card, it was really never ending!
Bad Points
Regular ridiculous errors, completely unprofessional, lack of communication between departments and customer, cannot open a bank account, just awful!
General Comments
I spent 10 months with a Barclays business account, I have had my personal account with them for 14 years without a problem. I have had nothing but problems since I opened the account, I don't think I have managed a month without something going wrong. They started by sending my card but not ordering the pin number, they have closed accounts in error, cancelled cards in error, I had 3 cards in the first 6 months. They registered me as trading as someone I had never heard of & then told me I had to provide proof of my new name, and formally change this in branch! I was also apparently running a salon according to the mail I received trying to sell me insurance, this was news to me! I have now switched my account and will be closing this one down. It really was an awful experience, I don't know now how on earth I managed 10 months of this, never again!
