The version 3.0 of Dryfork allows a PowerPoint presentation to be imported directly. Now all you current presentations can be converted to 3D.
The use of video textures is a big plus. You would spend twice the cost of Dryfork to add plug-ins to PowerPoint and still not have such a nice effect.
Embedding media in a point really saves on the number of slides needed. Media can be 2D, 3D, or multimedia.
Ease of use. I have used other 3D software packages and i find Dryfork is much easier to use. It even beats Google earth 3D in my opinion.
Still a little weak on the handouts. You can get a picture of all the pages but you can not get the 3D worlds unless you make your own screen shots. Not really a bd point but the only negative thing I could find..
You have to get used to editing text in input feilds. 3D text is not like the standard 2D text editor.
This software is truly a giant leap forward in presentation software. I don't think it competes with PowerPoint because it does so much more. My presentations have taken on a whole new dimension and professional look since I started using Dryfork.
