Good Points

Styling, ride comfort, looks like a proper harley.

Bad Points

I found the paint and chrome were not what they should be for a bike of this price, but as most owners clean them every week this is not so much of a problem. I think it should have a rev counter as standard.

General Comments

I owned my Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide FXD 1450 for over 7 years and have just sold it for a very reasonable price. in that time it never once let me down, which I think is very good. when I brought it new I had it stage tuned and had screamin eagle pipes put on it, which made it sound like a proper Harley. I owned big Japanese sports bikes for many years before buying the Harley so I was a little apprehensive about what I would think of the bike, but I have to say that the power is OK and the handling is OK, as long as you remember you are on a cruiser, not a racer. I use to get good mpg, and spares are no more expensive than the Japanese bikes. I think the bolt on extras that everyone buys can sometimes be massively over the top price wise, but everyone buys them anyway. if there was one thing that I didn't like about the bike it would have to be the Harley dealers, I found most of them unhelpful and in some cases totally useless when dealing with me, I am sure it's not true of all Harley dealers but where I lived ( London ) I thought my local dealer was very poor, and as the dealers are quite spread apart going to another might involve a lengthy journey.
If you are thinking of buying a Dyna Glide I would say go for it, and if you buy new, although the dealer won't give you a discount you can get free bits thrown into the deal if you haggle hard enough.
