General Comments
Me and the Wife set up a joint account in 2003with Lloyds, this is when the trouble started, we were given electron cards for the first three months, this in turn lasted a full year, we never went overdrawn, both salaries were being paid into the account but Lloyds just did not give us visa debit cards. This meant all purchases had to be pre-meditated or cash had to be withdrawn to pay for items.
We were then convinced by the branch manager to transfer our credit card balance to a Lloyds Platinum card, we were told that it was interest free for a year and NO BALANCE TRANSFER FEE! This is almost unheard of, what a deal. However when the first card statement arrived i was hit by a balance transfer fee, it took eight months to resolve and several letters to the complaints department, then to take the biscuit the lady dealing with the complaint tried to sell me a loan to pay the credit card!!!
I was promised breakdown cover, wallet insurance etc.... However when we did brakedown we were not covered.
