Our family spent a week in Salla, Finland through Crystal Holidays.
We were all first time skiers, my husband & I and our three children, 5, 12 & 13.
We booked ski school for all of us, and as the page in the brochure claimed Salla to be 'Family Friendly', we presumed the teaching would accomodate all our age ranges.

On the first mornings lesson, much to our surprise, we were all in the same class. We spent 1/2 hour on 'the flat' and then progressed to nursery slopes, which our older kids were fine with but the 5 year old could no way keep up with the pace, which upset her, she wouldn't take part in skiing lessons on the following day and therefore I had to abstain so as to look after her. We had had to pay extra on arrival for her skis & helmet hire, and I had already purchased my lift pass which was not even used once! Our family had then been split up for the rest of the week.

We sent a letter to Crystal when we got home explaining the situation, but actually had, we feel, quite a rude reply, stating that we should have read the small print which states that out of season there is no specific kids club/school. We feel if this had been clearer to us we would not have booked this resort, as beautiful as it was.

We will never book with Crystal again.
