The BSA A65 Oil in Frame Lightning 650cc is the last in the A65 engine line with all the developments. Good handling & aluminum conical hubs with a twin leading shoe front break with great looks & the throaty roar of a Brit twin. However, bronze bush for the timing side crank bearing, overheats due to the oil filler cap not being exposed to an airflow. Small petrol tank limiting range, vibrates like a demented washing machine.

    Oil Filler Cap not being exposed to airflow???? This cannot be a serious comment.

    all the Oil in frame models tend to run hot (BSA or Triumphs) because the oil capacity was reduced from the Pre OIF models. They all benefit from an oil cooler and regular oil changes
