    Good Points

    A wide variety of features and a fairly small community create a certain atmosphere for casual interaction and the development of internet friendships. Services include a chat room, public drawing boards, several blogs, a forum, a voice message center, and a gallery of flash games and movies.


    Bad Points

    As whole, the Ani Pock site is very inconsistent, with some poor aesthetic choices. It is very hard for me to comment on overall layout as the design is always changing, adding and removing features sporadically. The community itself, while small, is fairly hard to navigate as moderators are not listed, leaving people confused as to who they should go to for assistance. The entire self is anchored on other services. It's main feature, the chat room, is supported by Chatango and is flash based. While some of these ideas, such as a community voice message center and public draw boards are novel and have potential they are also are poorly executed. The blogs are very rarely updated despite the many members who have access.


    General Comments

    It seems that the Ani Pock site falls victim to over ambitiousness and poor management. With only vague guidelines, no apparent organizational structure, little support and very few updates, Ani Pock feels like a wasteland. Where there lies potential there also lies laziness. Because of these factors I am giving ani-pock.net a 3 out of 10 for a good concept but a highly flawed delivery. On a side note, the actual community itself is fairly unfriendly for newcomers, with spammers occasionally invading the chat and no introduction to the site or how to use it as a whole.
