Great plot, loveable characters, well written, appropriate, fun... It's just an all around great book!

This was the first book I EVER read in the fantasy genre. It's what hooked me! For years I couldn't remember what the title of the book was, or who wrote it, but I finally saw it in a book store one day. Let me tell you I swear I heard a chorus of angels, I was so excited! I was even happier to discover that this was only one of dozens of phenomenal books! Skif is a loveable scamp, and I love Cymri's senseof humor, they fit together so well! I also love (now that I've read some other Mercedes Lackey books) how it ties in and helps explain the background of some of the key characters from the Mage Winds books. All in all it's a ML classic! It's definately a must read!
