Bad Points

Heat, Heat. As in all space restricted laptops there is not enough cooling. Using aluminium as a case is a better cooler than plastic.


General Comments

The HP Pavilion dv2500 is fast with an Intel 7500 CPU and an NVidia 8400M GS GPU.
Excellent webcam with Windows XP Contrary to popular believe the CPU & GPU reside under right hand side of the keyboard. One feels the heat in the left palm from the HD, and here again heat is an issue.

I am frankly surprised that so little attention is paid to the heat factor in laptops in general. The bane in the longevity of the equipment. Performance comes with an very high price.

In this economy laptops are unaffordable.
