It now contains a section on Steve's older brother Cary Stayner who was the Yosemite Park Serial Killer. For me, this was unnecessary as this book was about Steven and his life and how he became a hero after saving another child.

I Know My First Name Is Steven is a true story based on the abduction of Steven Stayner who was held captive for over 7 years by Kenneth Parnnel. It tells the story of Stevens life and his return home as a hero. It perhaps gives hope to parents of other kidnapped children that one day they may actually come home.
