I joined the bank more than 15 years ago when it was a real bank the Midland 'the listening bank'. All that has sadly gone and the HSBC seems to me to be more interested in itself more that its bankers who make their money for them. I have a business overdraft facility which was within the limits but getting close to the limits whilst waiting for some payment of some invoices. The bank called me 3 times every day for a week and a half. Some guy asking for my personal details before he would tell me while he was calling me. Of course I refused to give him any information. There was one time when I stood proud to say I bank with the Midland Bank, now HSBC. I am now embarrassed to be a member of this bank. All my accounts will be closed by the end of this week and I think it will be the best commercial decision I would have every made.
