I have carbine model of BSA Airsporter. I've had mercury /plus s . Can take knocks also beat german rifles of later periods . Dont believe bsa as best avalible I deropped webley omega .22 once . Never shot the same again unlike my mercury . Put on 6x40 scopes steve wonder count miss bsa' s basic uncomplicated to use . also had webley tempest make sure lever is over barrel fully ' or barrel will flip when shot 'also herricane pistol both fun and pretty acurate . bsa are craftmanship made german makes . kill paper/cans targets but enjoy birds in garden/fields/woods dont believe shotting mags/ or rabbits more fun to watch running wild in country . It is comfortable to hold even for ex girlfreind to use . Bad point is scope rails to hold blocks to rifle scope
