I smelled slight burning at one point when using BaByliss BeLiss, but think my hair might have needed more drying with the dryer attachment. Be careful, the end bit can suck bits of hair into it, ouch! Makes hair shiny, straight. Pretty easy to use. I'm glad I bought it, people were complimenting me on my hair
