My wife and I stayed in a studio apartment at Bluestone at the start of February half term. The apartment was fabulous - goorgeous bathroom with rolltop bath and separate shower. We were above the shops and opposite the tavern but despite the fact that the site was almost full we experienced no noise. Welsh breakfast was excellent and the half breakfast was plenty for us. We only stayed two nights and without catering facilities 2 or 3 nights is all you would want to do in a studio apartment but that apart we would have loved to have stayed longer. On our travels we found a really food farm shop with local beef, lamb and pork - it's about two miles away on the road towards (and signposted) Pembroke Dock - we meant to go on the way home but forgot! I should declare that our overall experience was helped by the fact that we had an incredibly good deal on the price - a price that we have not managed to repeat! I was surpried by another reviewers comment about unfriendly staff - I have never been to a place with friendlier staff - without exception. Very handy to have internet access free and with no need to queue though as noted by another reviewer we never managed to get mobile coverage. The tavern was warm and cosy with a real fire and the beer that we had was local (Reverend James) and exactly the same price as charged in a pub a few miles away (by Carew Castle). I felt that on site the value was much better than at Centerparcs, As a bit of an aside we bought a print by a a local artist (Haverfordwest) and before we bought we checked the artists website and found that the Bluestone art shop 'The Gallery' was £10 cheaper than buying direct.
The staff arranged for us to see a couple of cabins - which took some doing as the accomodation was almost full, though the place never seemed to be crowded. The cabins - expecially the upside down ones are really good and we'll be back sometime in the future with family to see the puffins - February was too early for them!
We never found the shuttle bus but at different times we mistook both a guests hired buggy (think 'the prisoner') and a security bus for the shuttle bus. In both cases we were given a lift and it seems that is quite usual!! We enjoyed our stay and will go back.
