The Gamo Big Cat 1200 is an amazing air rifle. Accuracy at first wasnt too good. I had to break the rifle in for a good 1500 shots. After the break in the rifle was shooting a lot better. The power of the airgun is pretty brutal.. i can take down most small game with this air rifle. And i love the fit and finish of the rifle. ive had the rifle for over a year now and the rifle is working like the first day i got it. I got a new scope and trigger for it which greatly improved the performance of the rifle. I would defanatly reccomend that you get a mil dot scope and the grt trigger. After like 40 yards with the stock scope you have to start guessing where to aim. The mil dot scope range estimates for you and makes those long shots alot easier and more accurate. The stock trigger was very creepy and had a very long travel. The grt trigger isnt too expensive and will make you shoot alot more accurate. I usally hunt pigeons crows, tree rats, squirells, and around where i live we have bull frogs. Has no problem shooting at 60-85 yards. After that it gets too weak. Ive tried many pellets and the best ones for me are the crosman premeir round head lights. But alot of other pellets are good too. Overall a perfect airgun with the new trigger and the new scope. My total investment was about 240 dollars... not too expensive when you compare the performance of this rifle with that of an rws rifle or a beeman. This air rifle is very hold sensitive. The best hold that i found was with my hand open right infront of the trigger gaurd.

Interesting review, only he didn't mention what scope replaced the original. I too have the Big Cat, having problems with sighting after using for awhile-did get help from customer service only it didn't take care of my problem. Possibly needing to upgrade the scope; only can't seem to find a good selection in the gamo site. Is it possible to find out from Braulio what he is using now. Sure would appreciate a suggestion.
