Good Points

Staff were pleasant and helpful. In-flight entertainment system. Quality of food.


Bad Points

Nothing really; bit cramped in Economy, but that is to be expected no matter which airline you use.


General Comments

Flew with Finnair in January 2009. London to Tokyo, via Helsinki, and back. Unbeatable value, compared to other carriers, £435 return. Aircraft from Finland to Japan was Airbus 340 both ways. Delayed for an hour in Helsinki (on plane) during outward flight whilst engines and wings were de-iced; mind you, it was -9 degrees outside. Even so, still arrived at destination on time. No problems coming back. Entertainment system had good choice of material. Live flight progress an excellent addition. Meals were of good quality; dinner, supper and breakfast.
All in all, a pleasant experience and I recommend this airline if traveling on a budget, particularly if your destination is in Asia.
