Good Points

Moved away from her perky electronically aided voice.

Bad Points

I don't think she can hold a note.

General Comments

It's good to hear a song from Katie Perry that actually has some meaning and to hear her voice without being warped by electronic effects. But without said effects in my opinion as a serious singer with only her voice and no good editors or sound technicians she is terrible.
I think her diction is aweful making it hard for me to understand every other word and ruins the song for me altogether, the only hint of a saving grace being lyrics that are deep and thought provoking in my opinion.
I think that maybe if she were to combine the two, an upbeat tune with help from special effects with lyrics that have meaning maybe then she could start earning her way up the path of success, instead of being known as a pretty face used to front a song with a hook.
