General Comments

I phoned to ask a question as whilst parallel parking I felt a light bump., the car behind me had a broken bumper which i thought maybe i did. Someone walking on the pavement said i just hit kerb but I left a note on the other car incase and phoned Elephant just to ask advise , they wouldn't answer my question and asked lots of questions and details instead and then said nothing more. The owner of the car phoned 1 hour later and said the bumper was already broken and i didnt do anything. I phoned elephant to tell them but they said a claim was filed and that my insurance had now gone up! What a JOKE, worse still they put it on a database and it shows up as a CLAIM on other insurers so your premiums everywhere go up. No-one would listen to reason and they seemed to be rude when i was trying to get it changed (at which i failed) I had been with Elephant for 5 years and have NEVER had an accident or made a claim in 22 years

If you had a claim "processed" and added to the insurance database then there must have been a payout of some sort. Insurance companies don't register claims on the database until a settlement has been agreed.
