I am told that Parship was used by people seeking serious relationships which is a good thing. Parship made it hard for me to cancel my automatic renewal membership subscription. Money has twice been deducted from my account now on an automatic visa transaction and I haven't even logged onto my account for over 4 months. They don't even bother replying to emails from me about refunds. Prospective dates are not shown your image. they only see a blurred image and the idea is they should first be drawn to your profile by what you've written. This doesn't really work as most people place great emphasis on appearance. So you can invest a great deal of time exchanging emails with someone only to be rejected on releasing your photo to them. It is a waste of my time.

    I have had the same problem with cancellation. Even though I wrote to parship in December canceling the service they have continued to take money out of my account. I have now reported them to the credit card company and Bank for Fraud. I would advise anyone else having problems does the same straight away.

    This morning I have received an email from them saying they are going to cancel my membership from May 2009.... Even though I have dated emails to them from earlier in the year requesting cancellation. ... I will pursue them through the courts if need be.... NOTE.... DO NOT USE THIS SITE "PARSHIP"....

    Parship would like to respond to all reviewers who have raised concerns about our automatic renewal policy. Most organisations, whose revenue is subscription based - and this includes the vast majority of online dating companies - use automatic renewal to provide continuity of service to their members. Parship is no different and we would like to stress that we are not in business to mislead or take advantage of our members. After all, they are the life blood of our business.

    However, we are listening to our customers and have, as a result, improved our website to ensure transparency and fairness of our processes. The changes we have implemented include more clear flagging-up of automatic renewal upon purchase and sale confirmation (both onsite and in email communications) AND making it easier for our members to access and cancel the automatic renewal facility. Overall, our members will now be clearly advised and guided from various parts of the website with simple and clear instructions.
