Hmm, after reading a lot of the negative comments here I am beginning to wonder if I went to the same opticians! I last had my eyes tested in 1993 and thought it was about time for another test as my eyes have been deteriorating for about a year now. Told it was age related and that I should opt for varifocals. In my local area there is a Specsavers and an independent optician a few shops away. The Specsavers branch is always busy which I take as a good sign. I felt looked after from the moment I walked in with only the minimum of waiting inbetween seeing the initial screener right through to the dispensing optician at the end. Of course not having any previous experience to go on apart from years ago (at another company altogether) this was all new for me and I must say I was impressed. I am not too happy about the varifocals because I am feeling dizzy and sick after wearing them so I am going to go back after a few weeks and see what advice they give me. I may well be back to post some different comments then. We shall see!
