General Comments

I found that while the system is different than other sites, Elftown's forums and Wiki were easy to learn all by myself. Because of all the Help pages they have, and all the staff to help you, it was not hard to get an answer to any silly question I had. They even have Help pages in other languages, so if you struggle a little with English, you can find a help page in your native language.
People from all over the world log on to Elftown, so there are many interesting people to talk to. I can't count the number of wonderful people I have met. It seems like no matter what time of day I log on, there is always someone there to talk to.
My artwork improved greatly as a direct result of this site. With all of the competitions, it is easy to stay motivated to create new art. It is also easy to upload your art and to share it with others. Between that and all of the tutorials, I am a much better artist (though I still pale in comparison to most of the people there!). In fact, due to my exposure to many people from many places on earth, I think I may be a better person than I was before I joined.
And it is 100% free! It won't cost you a thing. Because it is a community, there are so many people, if you have any problems there are guards to help you.
The site also seems to be a bit addictive. I often find myself spending way too much time there, which makes it difficult to get any real work done at my job.
Sometimes things don't work quite right. But I have found that a lot of the "bugs" I have encountered are strictly because my browser and computer don't work as well as they should. There is a forum for reporting the "bugs" you find, and if they problem is on your end, they will offer suggestions on how you can remedy it. Overall, the site is wonderful. It is much better than myspace because there are no annoyingly huge adds, it looks better in general, and they take suggestions on how you think it could be better. Everyone has a voice there, should they choose to use it. I've yet to come across anyone who wasn't willing to help me in anyway I needed. From critiquing my work, to offering suggestions on how to make my art better, and for advice on life in general. Elftown is an enjoyable place to be.
