Good Points

It is cheap.


Bad Points

for me it not produce a fine enough grind for an espresso machine. Far too much plastic. Difficult to clean.


General Comments

I bought the La Cafetiere electric burr grinder to grind beans for my espresso machine. Unfortunately even on the finest setting I didn't think the grind was fine enough for the machine. The bottom grind plate is fixed in place, and the top adjustable grind plate is easily removed. I find this makes cleaning the bottom grind plate quite fiddly. Mine easily becomes clogged up and decreases the fineness of the grind. After every grind I used a bottle brush to clean it all out. It's a shame La Cafetiere don't provide the cleaning brush.
All in all it is a poor quality burr grinder, but for £30 what more can you expect?
