Fast Mail is a back to basics interface doesn't have sluggishness issues. (eg. Fastmail)
The new interface that is arriving is quite modern but keeps things quite simple.
I've found it to be reliable over the last 8 years.
In general this is a good and clean interface. I have considered moving to gmail because of the many megabytes, but then I am so used to the way everything works here.
When browsing from one email to another, they have a good system to navigating to the next or previous email while at the same time, keeping or deleting the email you are now viewing.
I think if you are willing to pay 5 or 15 dollars a year, then it is worth it, otherwise the 10MB storage is a little restrictive when someone sends you a big attachment. Free account doesn't have much storage.
fastmail.fm is kind of hard for people to remember, because of the .fm.
I recommend going with an alternative like fastmail.com.au for australia, or fastmail.us for USA.
