The Crosman AM 77 - Remington Airmaster 77 is accurate. Open sites are not good enough to hit dime size targets at 10 yards, at least for me. Use pellgun oil from Crossman to keep the felt oiled. Plastic stock is cheap, bit light in weight. Do not judge this gun out of the box. Shoot some 800 pellets through it, never BB's, then get a good scope. Your scope and mounts will cost almost as much as the gun. Bench rest to sight in scope. Springers jerk around too much for me. Try putting scope on a B -Sherid--- What is left? Lots of fun once you scope it. Break it in, then use a good scope. At 10 yards I use round colored garage sale price stickers as targets, they are just a little bit larger than dimes. My scope is a 4x12 zoom, 40mm objective, and adjustable front lens. (spell? parallax) Bad points are trigger pull. Squeeze the trigger so far, then hold. When crosshairs are on target, pull quickly: I have trouble holding steady.
