Typical Anthony Horowitz, great characters, fast and original, but for younger childrem 8-11
I enjoyed Ravens Gate but I have to say that this sequel, Evil Star, is pretty poor. The plot is somewhat predictable and what I feel is an imitation of Dan Brown's style of turning allies to enemies really failed miserably. I will not be buying this (I read the copy from my local library) and I dont think I will bother reading Nightrise now. The book seems very bland when it comes to horror, probably ideal for younger children
I had just read Anthony Horowitz's book 'Fledgling Jason Steed' that he wrote under the pen name M Cooper. So I was expecting soemthing as good. This is not quite as good.
