General Comments
My husband and i booked a midweek break in Jan 09 we wanted to use the spa for my birthday. It was the only activity we booked for in advance and went for the first night as thought it might be the least busiest time. It was lovely, both really enjoyed it and it wasnt crowded at all, had a ldrink in the bar there, although unable to eat as they had run out of the food we wanted (but it was 8.00pm in evening, think food must be more of a day thing). We had no rain which meant we could explore the park but having things so spread out (we have previously stayed in evelden forest which is all pretty much in one place) meant a hike. Paid extra to stay centrally located which is a must if you take children to this park. We decided to explore the local area and found a sainsbury in Frome only 6 miles away and treated ourselves to some yummy food we wouldnt buy at home to eat in the evenings they also had a KFC Macdonalds and Deep pan Pizza, which i would recommend taking kids out to because it is half the price of the park, and if you are on a budget and dont mind driving out the park it was ideal. We also went to Bath and used their therma spa which was gorgeous, Bath on the whole was lovely but so expensive to stay there so having the park about 16 miles away was great. We used the pool at about 5.00pm and there was no queues for slides or rapids plus being outdoors at night in the pool with all the lights felt really romantic and the hot jacuzzi outside was blissful we then had drinks in the food hall and went back to our villa, which was well equiped the only downside was the bath took ages to fill and not very hot, the bed was lovely and comfortable, and the curtains so dark we could have a lie in in the morning without the light shinning through. All in all we enjoyed our stay but didnt use the resort as much as we could of but then again this was a very cheap but enjoyable break.

Centre Parcs say that is was due to refurbishment, I beleive it was due to labour costs at this quiet time of the year. Albeit still great choice in the eating department.
