I've had my Virgin One Account since 2002 and have nothing but praise for their customer service. In all that time I have not had dealings with staff being rude, impatient or falsely courteous - unlike the ignorance of some staff in other organisations. I don't think you can single out RBS when it comes to increasing or decreasing their interest rates. The monthly and annual statements are detailed and user friendly. The internet banking site is extensive without being complicated. As long as you keep tabs of the decreasing planned balance (shown on the site as well as the monthly statement,)control of your finances is much easier than traditional ways of managing your money. Transfers and direct debits are a breeze to manage. The odd £10 cash withrawal is no longer hidden until the end of the month. All in all, I hope that the One Account doesn't fold (at least until the mortgage is paid off).
